Karen Haber (1955 - )
Karen Haber, working name of Karen Lee Haber Silverberg, is both a science fiction and non-fiction author and editor, as well as being an art critic and historian. Beginning her career as a genre writer with "Madre de Dios", published in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction in 1988, she became more popular with her Fire in Winter sequence. Subsequently, Haber's work has appeared in magazines such as Asimov's Science Fiction and many anthologies. In total she has authored nine books including Star Trek Voyager: Bless the Beasts, and is co-author of Science of the X-Men. Her non-fiction essay Meditations on Middle Earth was nominated for the 2001 Hugo award. She has been married to fellow SF author Robert Silverberg since 1987.
Ian Creasey lives in Yorkshire, England. He began writing when rock and roll stardom failed to return his calls. His first story was published in 1999, and since then he has sold numerous stories to various magazines and anthologies. His spare time interests include hiking, gardening, and environmental conservation work... anything to get him outdoors and away from the computer screen.
His books "Maps of the Edge" (2011) and "Escape Routes from Earth" (2015) are collections of science fiction stories originally published in well-known SF magazines such as Asimov's Science Fiction and Daily Science Fiction.

James Aquilone was raised on Saturday morning cartoons, comic books, sitcoms, and Cap'n Crunch. Amid the Cold War, he dreamed of being a jet fighter pilot but decided against the military life after realizing it would require him to wake up early. He had further illusions of being a stand-up comedian, until a traumatic experience on stage forced him to seek a college education. Brief stints as an alternative rock singer/guitarist and child model also proved unsuccessful. Today he battles a severe Tetris addiction while trying to write in the speculative fiction game. Demons, robots, dragons, superheroes...that sort of thing.
His short fiction has been published in such places as Nature's Futures, "The Best of Galaxy's Edge 2013-2014," "Unidentified Funny Objects 4," and Weird Tales Magazine. His first novel should be out soon. Suffice it to say, things are going much better than his modeling career.
He lives in Staten Island, New York, but don't hold that against him.
